About the Event
With an airtight rhythm section and searing horns, five foot firecracker lead vocalist Roxy Mercier soulfully drives hom songs of social justice, and love lost and found. “If you took Lorraine Ellison, tossed her in with The Jackson Five and a smattering of Wilson Pickett, you’d have something like Roxy & The Underground Soul Sound.” – Alex Cook – The East”
