"CAROUSEL" - Maritime Concert Opera

Carousel, the second musical by the team of Richard Rodgers (music) and Oscar Hammerstein II (book and lyrics) revolves around the highs and lows of a carousel barker’s romance with a millworker. The show includes the well-known songs "If I Loved You", "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" and "You'll Never Walk Alone". Richard Rodgers later wrote that Carousel was his favorite of all his musicals.  Maritime Concert Opera is a regional opera company based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, which brings many of the greatest operas written to small communities, and while we use professional soloists, our chorus and ethos are firmly rooted in our communities.
